Date & time · end of the yearDays left in the year
How many days are left in the year — until 23:59:59 on 31 December. Unlike the New Year countdown, this page is about the year’s progress: how much of it has gone and how many working days are left by the Russian working calendar.
How much of the current year is left: days until 31 December, the share of the year already gone and the working days still ahead by the Russian working calendar. Not a holiday countdown but a planning one: how much time is left for the year’s work.

Frequently asked questions
End of the year: 31 December 2026, Thursday; 31 December 2027, Friday; 31 December 2028, Sunday. The date follows a rule — 31 December — so it is known years ahead. The counter at the top always shows the nearest date, and the “Dates by year” block below lists five years.
The counter at the top of the page shows the days, hours and minutes left until the end of the year and updates every second by your device’s clock. On the day itself it shows “Today”, and from the next day it counts down to the following year. Nothing needs entering: the date follows the rule.
The line under the counter counts working days from tomorrow until 31 December by the Russian working calendar: public holidays and moved days off are included, shortened pre-holiday days count as working days. Next to it is the number of days off still ahead. This is for a five-day week; the six-day week is in the working calendar.
The New Year countdown is about the holiday: how long until midnight on 1 January. This page is about planning: how much of the year has gone, how many working days are left for the year’s work and how many days off are ahead. The number of days is almost the same, the purpose is different — hence different content.
Under the counter is a “Working days until the event” line — it counts the working days until the end of the year by the Russian working calendar, with public holidays and moved days off. Today is not counted, and for years with no published calendar yet the count follows a plain five-day week without holidays, which is noted on the page.
Press “Add to your site” under the counter: the widget builder opens with this event. Pick the size and theme, copy the code — a single iframe tag with no scripts — and paste it into an HTML block on your site. The widget updates itself, sets no cookies, congratulates visitors on the day and then counts down to the end of the year the following year.
