PDF · page numbersAdd page numbers to a PDF online
Numbers at the bottom or top of the sheet — “5”, “5 / 20” or “Page 5 of 20”. Skip the cover and start counting from the page you need.
Files are processed right in the browser and are not uploaded to a server.
The document never leaves your computer — fine for contracts and passports.

How it works
How it works
5 / 20Number pages
The number is written over the page in an embedded font that has Cyrillic too, so any text renders in every viewer. The position follows how the page looks on screen: on a rotated sheet the number still ends up at the bottom, and on landscape pages it follows their own width.
All PDF operations →Common mistakes
- Covers are usually not numbered: turn on “skip the first page” and start counting from the second.
- The number goes over the content: if there is already a footer at the bottom, choose the top or a larger margin.
- In your own template the number is {n} and the total is {total}; without {n} there is nothing to fill in.
- Numbers are written into the file for good — keep the original if you may need a version without them.
